It’s possible that you’re not informed of the fact that Taika Waititi’s got two new films in the works it is understandable since the spotlight has been centered onto big-budget Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel Thor: Love and Thunder however, the sports comedy Next Goal Winshas been waiting for quite a while.

Based on a true story, Michael Fassbender stars as Thomas Rongen, a soccer coach who attempts to guide American Samoa to the 2014 World Cup, despite the Samoan national team being seen as the most unworthy team on earth. Production started in November 2019 and ended in January 2020. However, Deadline informs us that a significant casting change has been implemented. Armie Hammer initially played an insignificant role on the Next Goal Wins However, in yet another attack on the controversial actor’s future, he’s eliminated from the final cut and replaced with Will Arnett. To add more salt to the injuries, the character’s screen time is also believed to have been extended.

The official explanation is the fact that Hammer was not available for the reshoots of Waititi, and his role was minor enough to be an issue for someone else to be in the picture. However, with the accusations that have plagued Hammer for the past year, it could be more to the story than a straightforward scheduling issue.
