Krunal Himanshu Pandya was born on 24 March 1991 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He bats left-handed and bowls slow left arm orthodox. He plays as an all-rounder and his younger brother Hardik Pandya is also a cricketer.
Start of domestic career
Krunal Pandya started playing for Baroda cricket team from 2012. He made his debut in first-class cricket in 2016 and became the best run scorer and best bowler for Baroda in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in the same year. He scored 366 runs in 8 matches and took 11 wickets, the best of which was 4/20.
IPL career
Krunal Pandya’s IPL career started in 2016, when Mumbai Indians bought him for Rs 2 crore. He made his IPL debut in April 2016 and was selected in the Cricinfo and Cricbuzz IPL XI for his performances. In 2017, he scored 86 runs and also took 2 wickets against Delhi Daredevils, for which he was declared man of the match. He played for Mumbai Indians from 2018-2021 and became an important player of the team. In 2022, Lucknow Super Giants bought Pandya for Rs 8.25 crore.

International career
In 2018, Krunal Pandya made his debut in the Indian T20 International team. He was also selected in the ODI team in 2021 and scored a brilliant half-century against England. However, he was dropped from the team in 2021 itself, as his behavior was criticized several times. International career did not last long but he will keep trying to make a comeback in the Indian team.

Krunal Pandya’s younger brother is cricketer Hardik Pandya and both the brothers are close to each other. On 27 December 2017, Krunal married Pankhadi Sharma and on 18 July 2022, they had a son, Kavir Krunal Pandya. In 2021, he was found Covid-19 positive and his Twitter account was also hacked.
