Sonam conceived and designed shows such as Little Singham, Golmaal Junior, Bhoot Bandhu etc. Sonam wrote 50-60 episodes of Chhota Bheem, wrote scripts for four to five movies and 20-30 songs for the series. After five years of conception, ChhOTA BheEM made its first appearance on Pogo TV in 2008.
Seeking a change in content for her writing, she joined DreamWorks Animations Awesomeness TV in 2015. She wrote a show called All Hail King Julien called which is currently streaming on Netflix. She also wrote the series theme and several tracks for the series called Shaktimaan, which were animated and used in the on-air Sonic and Nickelodeon soundtracks.
She said she won many awards, but the Emmys were special to her because she was the first Indian writer to win one. She is able to remember an episode picture by picture during production and can also remember every shot that was reused in an episode at a particular time.
