BCCI’s Game-Changing Decision: Toss Tossed Out, Fairness Rules In!

Hello friends, today we will talk about some big changes in Indian cricket which are going to be implemented soon.

First of all, BCCI has proposed a new rule under which the traditional process of toss will be abolished. According to this new rule, now the visiting team will have the right to directly choose whether it wants to bowl or bat first. The first test of this rule will be done in the Under-23 CK Nayudu Trophy.

The main objective of this change is to eliminate the tendency of home teams to unfairly make the pitches favorable to them. BCCI secretary Jay Shah has said that this decision has been taken to make the game more fair.

Apart from this, the Impact Player rule included in IPL 2024 has also been discussed. Under this rule, teams were allowed to field one additional player, which increased the excitement in the match. However, many veteran cricketers like Rohit Sharma and Axar Patel criticized this rule.

The BCCI has indicated that it wants to continue with this rule, but it will be considered after the World Cup 2024.
