Marcos Aoas Correa (born 14 May 1994) popularly referred to as Marquinhos is a Brazilian professional footballer, who plays as the defender of Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain that he captains and also for the Brazil nation’s team. Primarily a central defender the player can also be a right-back or a defensive midfielder.
His first club was Corinthians and, after winning at the 2011 Copa Libertadores he moved to Roma to sign a contract that was EUR3 million. Marquinhos had a steady presence during his first season when Roma made it to the Coppa Italia Final. In May of 2015, Marquinhos told Le Parisien that he had been engaged to Brazilian performer and reality TV participant Carol Cabrino. Marquinhos proposed to Carol Cabrro beneath The Eiffel Tower.
