Juventus were the winners of their 2006-07 Serie B title, gaining Serie A promotion with the most impressive goal differential, conceding only 30 goals while scoring more than 80 goals in 42 games. With Juventus returning to Serie A for the 2007-08 season, Chiellini again was a player for the club as a left back. Chiellini renewed his contract until 2009, and then the end of 2011 on October 12, 2006. On April 27, 2008., Chiellini netted two goals for Juventus in the 5-2 win against Lazio that established Juventus’s status at the top of the Serie A top four. On June 26, 2008, Chiellini renewed his contract with Juventus until 2013.
After a successful debut year with the club in Serie A, Chiellini was recall for the 2005-06 campaign and Juventus agreed to pay EUR4.3 million to cover the remainder term of his deal. Chiellini was a regular player under Fabio Capello and played 23 appearances in his debut season with the club. He was aiding to lead the Old Lady to their 29th scudetto (which was later transferred to Inter after an incident in the year 2006 called “Calciopoli” scandal).
