DeVante Parker (born on January 20, 1993) is an American football wide receiver with the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the first round of 2015. NFL Draft. He played for the University of Louisville. Louisville.
At the beginning of the year
Parker was born to Raneca Parker and the former Louisville football player Anthony Shelman. He was a student at Ballard High School in Louisville Kentucky. He was an all-star athlete in track, football, and basketball. He was an All-State athlete. He tallied 73 receptions for 1,438 yards and scored 12 touchdowns as an undergrad. He was named to the first-team All-State by The Courier-Journal. He scored 209 yards with one score in the game against the state champions of 6-A Trinity with 137, two touchdowns, two touchdowns for two wins against the No. two St. Xavier, 321 yards and two touchdowns in the 6-A finalist Male and 3 touchdowns and 227 yards in only three quarters against state champions 3-A Central. He was named a co-Paul Hornung Award winner for the state’s best player alongside the Boyle County team’s Lamar Dawson. He threw the most passes with 68 for 1,793 yards (26.4 yards per reception) along with 19 touchdowns in his senior year which is fourth in all-time among state players. He was the one of state’s most prolific wide receivers, with 3,274 yards. That is fifth, only after Somerset’s John Cole (4,981), Lawrence County’s Gerad Parker (4,736) Male’s Montrell Jones (4,345) and Mason County’s Chris Lofton (3,511). [2]
In track and track, Parker lettered all four seasons for the Bruins running as a sprinter. He was also ranked the 77th-best wide receiver nationwide by Rivals.com and was the fifth-best athlete of the Rivals.com Kentucky postseason top 10. Parker decided to play for Louisville over offers to attend college to Kentucky, Indiana and UCF. [5]
College and career
Freshman season
As a true freshman in 2011, Parker appeared in 11 games. He finished in sixth place on the team, with 18 receptions for 291 yards . He also was the top scorer on the team with six. He scored two touchdowns receiving at USF. He also scored a highlight reel 39-yard touchdown in the opening game of the season against Murray State. [7]
Sophomore season
In 2012, as a sophomore, Parker played in all 13 games. He was the leader of on the field with 744 yards of receiving and 10 touchdowns from 40 receptions. The touchdowns he scored on his 10 receptions were the highest number of touchdowns for an individual player during a year since the 1998 season. He scored a touchdown during six straight games at the end of the season. He played in two games and scored two touchdowns on receiving. He ended this season playing in two 100-yard receiving games. Junior season
In 2013 as a junior, Parker played in 12 of 13 games. He had 55 receptions, totalling 885 yards, and an all-time school record of 12 touchdowns. The 12 touchdowns he scored were tied for 10th in the nation and he led the AAC. He had three games with 100 yards receiving. Season 2015
In his rookie season, Parker appeared in 15 games, and started for four. The week 12 game playing The New York Jets, he scored his first professional receiving touchdown with the 33-yard catch by player Ryan Tannehill. 24 In the final game of the regular season the team recorded five receptions, an impressive 106 yards of receiving and scored a touchdown on a receiving catch with his team, the New England Patriots. Season 2016
Parker began his second season in the NFL with a bang with eight receptions and receiving yards of 106 against New England Patriots in Week 2. He ended the season with 56 receptions , resulting in 744 yards in receiving yards as well as four touchdowns from receiving. 28. He made his debut in the playoffs at the Wild Card Round against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He recorded four receptions and 55 yards receiving in the loss of 30-12. [29]

In 2017, Parker appeared in 13 games and was the starting quarterback for all of them , minus one. Parker had 57 receptions, which equated to 670 yards of receiving and one touchdown reception. [30]
Season 2018
On April 24 in 2018 The Dolphins took over his fifth year option. He recorded six receptions to record a career-high receiving yardage of 134 yards in a loss against the Houston Texans in Week 8. In his 11 contests, Parker had 24 receptions for 309 receiving yards as well as one touchdown reception. [33]
Season 2019
On March 12 2019 Parker signed a two-year agreement with the Dolphins through 2020. In Week 4, in the match against the Los Angeles Chargers, Parker received four passes, resulting in 70 yards as well as a touchdown on the receiving side in the loss of 30-10. In Week 11, in the match against the Buffalo Bills, Parker caught seven passes and threw 135 yards and a touchdown in the loss of 37-20. In Week 13 with The Philadelphia Eagles, Parker caught seven passes for two touchdowns and 159 yards in the win 37-31. On the 13th of December the 13th of December, 2019 Parker was signed to sign a five-year 40 million extension to his contract to the Dolphins. In Week 17, in the match against New England Patriots New England Patriots, Parker took eight passes for 137 yards in the win of 27-24. In Week 4, against Seattle Seahawks. Seattle Seahawks, Parker recorded 10 catches and 110 yards in the loss of 31-23. In Week 8 in the match against the Los Angeles Rams, Parker was the first player to score a touchdown in his career. throw by rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, in the win of 28-17. In Week 12, in the match against New York Jets, he recorded eight receptions and 119 yards of receiving in the victory of 20-3. In Week 13, against The Cincinnati Bengals, Parker was exiled from the game for engaging with Bengals players.
2021 season
On the 5th November 2021 Parker received an injury and was put on reserve due to the hamstring strain. He was activated on December 4.
