Yeh Kaali Kaali review of Ankhein: What’s It All About:
Two star-crossed lovebirds Vikrant (Tahir) Vikrant (Tahir) and Shikha (Shweta) are reunited in the secluded town of Onkara. In Onkara the powerful control the show, and everybody else is either a indifferent audience or dead. In this place where crime reigns supreme, Vikrant hopes to build an intimate life with his girlfriend. He is unaware that his sister, Gangster (read political figure) Purva (Anchal) craves his attention and will go to any length to seduce her. This is when the things go wrong and the lives of people are turned upside down.
Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein What works:
The heartland setting of love stories in India with lawlessness as a backdrop is a unique dynamic that not many are able to successfully break. It is a difficult thing to do. Shakespearean romance and tragedy that often occurs in tandem isn’t easy to portray onscreen. Only a handful of filmmakers, including Vishal Bharadwaj Sanjay Leela Bhansali as well as Abhishek Chaubey have managed achieve this feat.
To my surprise, Siddharth Sengupta understands the tragic nature that was his fellow English author and the concept of love that is destructive. Do you remember the time when Omkara (Othello) was mad to kill Dolly (Desdemona)? This is the moment when Bharadwaj took the lead and winning is an achievement. Sengupta is able to achieve this, but not by dying but through the setup. He creates an interesting foundation that each dark fate that comes his way must be a smack in the stomach.
Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein is a complex story. The protagonist is a man with strong goals who is about to come to the age of brutality while there’s a childish but sharp lover who inspires him to accomplish his goals as well as an attractive woman who will only want the boy , no matter the circumstances, a gangster dad who is determined to make the Sun rise at dusk to his daughter. Two things can be created from this dynamic: Shakespeare’s play or an Indian soap operas that are daily. Sengupta is a proponent of the latter.
The story is told by the protagonist, who is hiding out and has been busted. He claims that a woman is the cause of his death. This is the beginning of the story. In the fictional town called Onkara situated near the river Ganga The boy dreams of an exciting future with a girl of his preference. But is he really in an option? There are a few instances where stories place men in the situation of having to act according to the woman’s requirements. In Tahir’s Vikrant on the Netflix show turns into the object of a trophy. The words don’t make it seem like an actual point, but one that’s visible in the front.
It’s the time to grow up for Vikrant But is it happening in the right way? The shrewd, harmless young man is placed in a group of criminals. The mill continues to work and pounding him until he is similar to the criminals. In the end , he is determined the love to remain alive. The story reveals how destructive love can be for the person who is in love with him. The surrounding simply increases his misery. He is the person he’s always disliked.
There are some imagined scenes that illustrate what’s happening inside Vikrant’s mind. The imagination is wild since it is always killing someone with greater brutality than the previous time. It also gives a glimpse into what the man is becoming.
The cinematography of Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein by Murzy Pagdiwala Rahul Chauhan along with Murli Krishna is stunning. The art-decoration scale is greater than what the trailer would suggest. There’s a scene that shows two groups of people fight in a field. The visuals are breathtaking. Music also plays an important part in the album is stunning. This track’s name is addictive that I’ve been singing since.
Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein: Star Performance:
Tahir Raj Bhasin is all over. In cinemas with his 83 and 83, in Voot and with Ranjish Hey Sahi and and on Netflix featuring Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein along with the Looop Trailer for the movie Lapeta. He deserves to be there. The actor is able to carry a whole show from his back. Being a character who undergoes the transformation of 180 degrees There are lots of expectations of him and he never fails to meet them. Be on the lookout for scenes that he’s helpless in the movie, he knows the art of his trade and knows how!
It is possible to place Shweta Tripathi in the middle of a heartland-based story and she’ll still shine. She was made for this kind of setting as well, and in even a confined part, she can be seen. There is a unique sweetness and ease to her presence on screen and she is able to make use of it. There is also strength, and it comes out when it is needed. More about Shweta Tripathi’s heart-land and Tripathi stories Please.
Anchal Singh has the most difficult role. She’s a normal woman from a prestigious family however, around Vikrant she’s an escapist. She is completely unaware of her love for him that is uncontrollable. She’s one of those people who wouldn’t be dirty however, she would watch others die by her orders. Myopic. Anchal brings the gravitas that is needed. But the set-up surrounding her is out of place and could be enhanced.
Saurabh Shukla, and Brijendra Kalra are two actors who don’t require any confirmation to prove they’re the best in their field. All the other actors, including Anant Joshi Surya Sharma, and many others are all well-integrated in their roles to enhance the quality of the show.
Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein What’s Not Working:
The second part of the movie dips and does not rise up fully. Even the finale makes you feel a sense of incompleteness (not in the best way). While the entire concept Vikrant manages to implement is understandable in the grand plan of the universe, its addition the concept of Dark Web makes it weaker in some way. It’s like an out of world element is infiltrating the fictional town that was created by Siddharth and his team.
The ending doesn’t feel just right for me. Of course , it’s an open ending to prepare for season 2 should it happen. However, it’s too wide for tankers from the Army could pass through. Perhaps closing it further would have been a better choice. It’s more “why do you think it’s so insufficient” than “oh there’s more to it to come, but let’s see”.
Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein Review: Last Words:
Destructive love, also known as Junooni Pyaar when executed correctly is the most interesting fodder to my passionate heart. Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein gets the drama of an empathetic love story perfectly. Tahir Raj Bhasin Shweta Tripathi and Anchal Singh make it an all-time great. Of course , there are some flaws are present, but they’re still worth a look.
The Review Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen has all the trappings of 1990s Bollywood Pulp, But Lacks the cinematic breadth and feel
Tahir Raj Bhasin as well as Anchal Singh in the film ‘Yeh”Kaali” Aankhen’.
In terms of form, Sidharth Sengupta’s Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen certainly returns to the 1990s’ Bollywood pulp in certain ways. Scenes are handled with earnest drama; subterfuges too are well-mapped and explained. The title is a smash Baazigar (1993) track. The song’s title track is a remake of the same tune, and the majority in the original music written by Shivam Sengupta and Anuj Danait features throwback lilts that recall the diverse sounds of 90s’ Hindi music, overhauled by hip-hop and modern jazz. The best friend of porn producer Vikrant (Tahir Bhasin) who is the main character–a typical middle-Indian 20-something with a degree in engineering and a job that is humdrum in sight, accuses the man of having a connection to “Shahrukhgiri”. The story’s themes that are reminiscent of Baazigar which was a Shah Rukh film that reshaped the hero-villain axis: intense love, the everyday man who is forced to confront an extraordinary situation, rising to confront the extraordinary as well as the dangerous and sinister path towards revenge.
It is driven by plot more than the internal life of characters and broad themes, or the macro world of class and politics, Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen is a romantic comedy that is laced with gangster conventions. It is either impossible to attain or achieved through coercion. The eight-episode show is akin to the flavor and look of a pulp thriller however, it fails to completely transcend the good-versus-evil paradigm in the way characters develop, the ability to predict rather than thrill, moral or otherwise–defines the character’s arc.
Vikrant has a father who is the accounting professional (Brijendra Kalra) who is employed by an elected local politician called Akhiraj Awasthi (Saurabh Shukla). Vikrant’s family is amazed by the Awasthi dominance based on the power of muscle and guns, as well as money. Vikrant’s parents regularly stifle his desire to escape from his father’s servitude and piety, something Vikrant is embarrassed of. Vikrant is waiting for an appointment letter to a job in a faraway place from in the town where the show is set, a fictional town modeled after Varanasi also known as Onkara. Vikrant hopes to move out together with Shikha (Shweta Sharma Tripathi) who is his college sweetheart from a different caste. The dream is still a dream because he becomes a subject of affection for Awasthi’s daughter Purva (Anchal Singh) who offers an acquaintance Vikrant was unable to accept when they were at school together. Why would they both attend one school? Of course, Awasthi did his accountant an favor by allowing his son to go to the same school as him. When Purva is introduced to Vikrant at the age of adulthood, she’s determined to get married Vikrant. The story starts with a quote of Othello: “For she was beautiful and she picked for me.” Vikrant has no option but to get married and in the process of becoming a son-in law of Awasthi, Vikrant loses all things he believed in. Is a new man emerging as he tries to restore his old self-confidence? Will Vikrant take on Dark in order to fight Dark?
Marzi Pagdiwala’s cinematography, music, and the raunchy pace keeps the momentum going until the final three episodes degrade into a shambles of 90sschlock. They hurl towards the final scene that puts Vikrant in unbearable danger. Something his straight-jacketed brain could not have imagined. A Season 2 could finally become the place where Vikrant is embraced and becomes the dark avenger that is reminiscent of Ajay Sharma, Shahrukh Khan’s innocently named character in Baazigar.
Tripathi who plays an escaped woman due to the fact that the family she lives with are Vikrant’s allies is an excellent actor, but without any nuances to the character, she’s not as exciting in her acting skills compared to her performance in the movie Masaan as well Mirzapur where where she played the part in the role of Golu Gupta. Shukla is in the classic Bollywood style, with a straight face and she pulls off the role with ease. For the film that he made his Web show debut the main character, Bhasin (recently seen in the role of Sunil Gavaskar in 83) has an edgy presence on screen. This is a character that is supposed to be a catalyst for transformation which encapsulate steeliness, suffering as well as deceitfulness and adaptability. In contrast to the promise that Sengupta as the author of the show, sets up for Vikrant the actor doesn’t really transcend the insecure good boy. Bhasin has a lot of potential for his performance as an actor. As Purva which is the most complicated and difficult character in the show, Sharma is adept, but without the wit or awe that is the character’s very design is a sign of doom or tragedy.
The film Kaali Kaali Aankhen is filled with numerous memorable moments in which the technical, performance and storytelling elements are used to maximum impact. With a heavy focus on plotting, it’s an indifferent genre-fuser, or genre-bender than it makes up to become. The most successful web-based series have a cinematic swath and a slick, enveloping. The show Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen is a series that plays like a dependable television show which can last for hours in the length of a show.
