Yeh Kaali Kaali review of Ankhein: What’s It All About:

Two star-crossed lovebirds Vikrant (Tahir) Vikrant (Tahir) and Shikha (Shweta) are reunited in the secluded town of Onkara. In Onkara the powerful control the show, and everybody else is either a indifferent audience or dead. In this place where crime reigns supreme, Vikrant hopes to build an intimate life with his girlfriend. There’s a scene that shows two groups of people fight in a field. The visuals are breathtaking. Music also plays an important part in the album is stunning. Saurabh Shukla, and Brijendra Kalra are two actors who don’t require any confirmation to prove they’re the best in their field. All the other actors, including Anant Joshi Surya Sharma, and many others are all well-integrated in their roles to enhance the quality of the show.

Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein What’s Not Working:

The second part of the movie dips and does not rise up fully. Even the finale makes you feel a sense of incompleteness (not in the best way). While the entire concept Vikrant manages to implement is understandable in the grand plan of the universe, its addition the concept of Dark Web makes it weaker in some way. It’s like an out of world element is infiltrating the fictional town that was created by Siddharth and his team.

The ending doesn’t feel just right for me. Of course , it’s an open ending to prepare for season 2 should it happen. However, it’s too wide for tankers from the Army could pass through. Perhaps closing it further would have been a better choice. It’s more “why do you think it’s so insufficient” than “oh there’s more to it to come, but let’s see”.

Destructive love, also known as Junooni Pyaar when executed correctly is the most interesting fodder to my passionate heart. Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein gets the drama of an empathetic love story perfectly. Tahir Raj Bhasin Shweta Tripathi and Anchal Singh make it an all-time great. Of course , there are some flaws are present, but they’re still worth a look.

Marzi Pagdiwala’s cinematography, music, and the raunchy pace keeps the momentum going until the final three episodes degrade into a shambles of 90sschlock. They hurl towards the final scene that puts Vikrant in unbearable danger. Something his straight-jacketed brain could not have imagined. A Season 2 could finally become the place where Vikrant is embraced and becomes the dark avenger that is reminiscent of Ajay Sharma, Shahrukh Khan’s innocently named character in Baazigar.

Tripathi who plays an escaped woman due to the fact that the family she lives with are Vikrant’s allies is an excellent actor, but without any nuances to the character, she’s not as exciting in her acting skills compared to her performance in the movie Masaan as well Mirzapur where where she played the part in the role of Golu Gupta. Shukla is in the classic Bollywood style, with a straight face and she pulls off the role with ease.
