A woman recently gave birth on a Frontier Airlines flight and gave birth to a baby girl with the help of a flight attendant.
According to a statement from Frontier Airlines, the plane was traveling from Denver International Airport to Orlando International Airport. When the woman went into labor, a flight attendant identified by the airline as Diana Giraldo guided her to the back of the plane and helped her deliver the baby.
The plane was diverted to Pensacola Airport, where paramedics were waiting to assist.
He applauded the Frontier Airlines flight attendant, and pilot Chris Nye, who was tasked with coordinating the routing, said Giraldo “goes beyond everything”.
“This was a job well done and I’m happy to see everyone working together to successfully deliver a newborn on a plane!” said Nye.
Frontier Airlines said her mother gave her daughter her middle name Sky.
