At a similar event in London on Thursday Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky A jacket has been auctioned. The jacket was worn by Zelensky and had his signature on it. This jacket has been sold for 90 thousand euros i.e. about 86 lakh rupees.

“The goal of this event was to tell the story of the brave Ukrainians and to raise funds in support of the bravery,” said a tweet from the Ukrainian embassy.

Russia attacked Ukraine in late February after months of tension between Russia and Ukraine. Since this attack, a major refugee crisis has arisen in Europe. About one million dollars, about 7.6 crore rupees were raised through this fundraiser program. The embassy said most of the money would be used to re-install the equipment at the Specialized Children’s Medical Center in western Ukraine.

Before the auction, Zelensky addressed the event in a virtual way. He commended her for her support for Britain and its premier, Boris Johnson.

Zelensky further said that Russian troops destroyed nearly 400 health facilities, including hospitals and maternity hospitals. He further highlighted the problems Russia has posed to Ukraine and Europe.

The Vasilkiv jug made of porcelain was also auctioned in the auction. The chicken-shaped jug that survived Russian bombing and devastation in Kyiv’s Borodienka region was gifted by a woman to visiting Kyiv Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

A ball signed by Zelensky is yet to be auctioned online. This Major League Baseball (MLB) ball was signed by President Zelensky during his 2019 visit to New York.

According to the information, the ball is in very good condition and will be sold for at least 15 thousand dollars i.e. more than 11 lakh 47 thousand. New York’s RR Auction House said that this auction will run till May 11.

In a video conference speech at the event, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson praised Zelensky’s leadership in the war. He said, ‘Spoke to my friend Vladimir Zelensky. He is one of the most incredible leaders of modern times.

Calling for a big bidding for Zelensky’s jacket, the Prime Minister started the auction by bidding for 50 thousand euros, or about Rs 40.5 lakh.
