About Travis Scott

After leaving college, Travis Scott moved to New York City to begin his profession in the field of music. At first, he wanted to be a producer but soon began focusing on hip-hop production. In New York, he spent most of his time in the Just Blaze studio.

He formed a partnership with his long-time buddy, Chris Holloway, and together they launched The Graduates, a band.. In 2008, they released their first single on the social network site MySpace.

He started an ensemble together with the classmate he had previously known as OG Chess. The group was named The Classmates. Between 2009 and 2010 The Classmates released two projects. The first one was together with Buddy Rich, the second was released with Cruis’n USA. Scott focused on the production aspect of both of the projects. The duo continued to work together until 2012 , after which they broke up due to personal and financial difficulties.

Travis Scott faced a period of a temporary low in his personal life as a person and professionally. While nothing major occurred in his music profession, the financial woes caused him to be left with only a small amount to live. He traveled between Houston and Los Angeles. LA. In the same week, TI who is from Grand Hustle Record heard Scott’s production “Lights Lovesick” and signed a contract with Scott.

Scott’s debut full length album was a mixtape entitled “Owl Pharaoh”. However, whether it was fate or luck that the release of the album was delayed, and then recreated in the hands of Kanye West, and Mike Dean. In the meantime, Scott released the track”Blocka La Flame” the remix of the track by fellow GOOD Music label-mate Pusha T’s single “Blocka.”.

In March of 2013, Scott released a music video for”Quintana,” a song, which was originally scheduled to appear in the film ‘Owl Pharaoh’. At the time, Scott became a member of the XXL’s Freshman Class in 2013.

In March 2013 Travis Scott came up with a small snippet from his debut commercial single ‘Upper Elichelon’. The song was eventually released via Urban Contemporary Radio and released for download free of charge.

The summer of July was when Scott made the song “Don’t Play”, an introduction to his first major label debut album , ‘Days Before Rodeo’. The track was a huge success. This success caused Scott to launch a tour called ‘The Rodeo Tour’ featuring Young Thug from Rich Gang’s group, along with the producer Metro Boomin. The tour began on March 1st 2015 located in Santa Ana, California, and concluded on April 1st of 2015 located in Portland, Oregon.

The Rodeo Tour was a grand success, and it has made Travis Scott an overnight sensation. The most well-known artists like Kanye West Chris Brown, Wale and Birdman appeared as special guests throughout the tour, which took place in various cities like Denver, Colorado, Houston, Texas, Chicago, Illinois, Detroit, Michigan, New York City, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, California and Seattle, Washington. The tour is described to be one of the most wild hip-hop tours of recent times.

In September of 2015 Scott’s long-awaited album ‘Rodeo’ came out. It featured guest appearances from numerous artists. It was a huge success and was ranked at number 3 . US Billboard 200 chart. On the Billboard Rap Album chart, “Rodeo” smashed bull’s eye by claiming the top spot.

The album “Rodeo” contained two singles “3500” and “Antidote”. While “3500” was a huge smash, it was Antidote that made an opportunity to make a mark in his career. It became the top-charting single of the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and reached the top spot at 16.

The year was 2016, and he dropped the single in collaboration featuring Thug named ‘Pick up The Phone’. The song was hugely successful and reached 43 in the Billboard Hot 100. Double platinum was awarded by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

In the middle of 2016, Scott announced that the album’s new and his third album would be ‘Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight’ as well as ‘AstroWorld as well. In September of 2016 Scott announced the release of his album “Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight on the three-part episode of .wav radio. The album was later released through iTunes as well as Apple Music. In September 11, 2016 it was Scott’s top album in his US Billboard 200. On the same day the artist signed a contract in partnership with Universal Music Publishing Group.

In February of 2017, Scott performed at All-Star Weekend in New Orleans at Champion Square. In March, he was also performing in the New Orleans BUKU Music + Art Project festival. The same time it was announced that he would be green signalling the next tour, ‘Birds Eye View’, which performed across cities like New Orleans, Louisiana and Eugene. The European portion of the tour began on June 23 and ended on the 9th of July.

In addition to being working hard on the third studio album, the singer was appeared on a track of Canadian Drake’s album “More Life,” titled “Portland’. The song reached number nine on the US Billboard Hot 100, being his highest charting track as an artist featured. In the same time frame the artist began work on a project with Atlanta rapper Quavo from Migos.

In May of 2017, Scott released three new songs on SoundCloud with ‘Another Man’, “Green and Purple’ (featuring Playboi Carti) as well as ‘Butterfly’. Then he followed it with an “DAMN .Tour as well as performing in the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards on their track ‘Walk On Water”.

At the end of 2017, Scott was featured on Trippie Redd’s track “Dark Knight Dummo.”. It reached the top spot at the number. 72 on the Billboard Hot 100. The following week the album he co-wrote with Quavo, ‘Huncho”Jack Huncho” was released. It debuted in no.3 in the Billboard 200 and had seven tracks in the Billboard Hot 100.
