TMZ blocks Johnny Depp’s attempt to summon former employees to testify against Amber Heard
According to Variety, TMZ is trying to prevent field assignment manager Morgan Tremaine from testifying in support of Johnny Depp.
The lawyer of the gossip page made a statement. “TMZ has promised this resource that it will keep its confidentiality and not reveal their names or other information about them,” it read.
‘TMZ occasionally makes such promises of confidentiality so that it can publish information in the public interest and relies on the journalist’s privilege to protect the identity of confidential sources to do so.’
The California-based news outlet also requested that Tremaine be banned from speaking in the Fairfax, Virginia courtroom. TMZ does not want its former employee to disclose any confidential information at the time of deposition.

Depp’s team also did not reveal the questions they asked Tremaine if he had taken the stand.
TMZ’s attorney argued that any evidence Tremaine would present would be irrelevant to their pending litigation.
Depp’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez, had previously suggested that Heard informed TMZ when he filed a restraining order against Depp. However, the actor denied the allegations.
