‘The Masked Singer’ Announces Season 7 Champion

Another season of The Masked Singer has concluded and another covered vocalist has been crowned.

Conclusion Although the show only lasted an hour, it included five outstanding performances, two qualifying rounds and three surprises. First, the Prince made his debut with an enthusiastic rendition of Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida,” followed by Firefly performing Usher’s “Bad Girl” and Ringmaster finishing the first round with Sara Bareilles’ “Gravity”.

In this season’s finals, the show chose to approach things a little differently than previous seasons. Two different rounds and thus two different eliminations. The Prince was the first to be eliminated, which was a very scary experience. Before the announcement, Robin Thicke predicted Ricky Martin as the amphibious royal, while Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg chose Ben Platt.

Cheyenne Jackson—actor and singer (and Bomer’s American Horror Story co-star) playfully approaching Matt Bomer—was another blue-eyed brunette with a perfect jawline. Only Nicole Scherzinger was right in the end. Jackson, and it’s a shame the show hasn’t had the Golden Ear Award for the judges since Scherzinger will win this season.

After the show, host Nick Cannon informs panelists that the nominee was “very emotional” on stage. He squeezes Cannon before leaving the stage.

The Ringmaster ended things on a lighter note with a live rendition of Katy Perry’s “Waking Up in Vegas.” When it came to voting, the performance of the strong vocalist was not enough and Firefly was declared the winner. The radiant candidate was definitely taken aback by the news. “It feels so good,” Cannon says as he chokes loudly.

The second one was unmasked, as usual, before it appeared for good. The panelists’ estimates were by far the poorest of the night, and none of them got it right. Thicke chose Maren Morris, Scherzinger chose Lucy Hale, Jeong retained her previous pick, Hailee Steinfeld, and McCarthy-Wahlberg chose Hayden Panettiere from left field. The circus cat turned out to be The Goldbergs star and singer Hayley Orrantia.

The panelists did much better with the final announcement of the night.

Monica was picked by Scherzinger and Alicia Keys by Jeong, but McCarthy-Wahlberg and Thicke, who were right in the end, chose R&B singer-songwriter, actress, and model Teyana Taylor.

And with that, another season of this weird celebrity singing competition comes to an end. Get your magnifying glasses and search engines ready for Season 8 of The Masked Singer, which premieres this fall on Fox.
