At the same time, a controversy started when the film should be released in Singapore. Due to which filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has suffered a major setback.

‘The Kashmir Files’ movie banned

Vivek Agnihotri’s film ‘The Kashmir Files’ was supposed to release in Singapore, but if reports are to be believed, the film has now been banned from release there. According to media reports, ‘The Kashmir Files’ is outside the city-state guidelines.

It is also being said in the reports that Muslims were shown only one side in the film which can provoke people. On the other hand, the Infocomm Media Development Authority, in a joint statement with the Ministry of Culture Community and the Ministry of Youth and Home Affairs, said that ‘The Kashmir Files’ is far beyond Singapore’s film classification guidelines.

There may be conflict between communities

According to the news, while talking to a channel named News Asia, rights have said that The Kashmir Files depicts the bad treatment meted out to Hindus. Story of the film Somewhere a dispute may arise between the two communities.

Officials further said that the film could make a difference in the unity among the people. This is the reason why this film does not fit in the list of classification guidelines of Singapore.

Vivek Agnihotri got a setback

Vivek Agnihotri along with wife Pallavi Joshi had gone to Bangkok to promote the film ‘The Kashmir Files’. From where his video also surfaced. And now that the film has been banned in Singapore. Due to which the filmmaker has suffered a major setback.

Talking about the box office collection of ‘The Kashmir Files’, the film made in 15 crores has earned 300 crores. The film starred actors Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar, and Pallavi Joshi in the lead roles.
