Producer Jerry Bruckheimer says Margot Robbie could replace Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean 6.

Depp is currently busy with his brutal case against his ex-wife Amber Heard. In 2018, the actress wrote a column for The Washington Post in which she claimed she was subjected to domestic violence.

Depp filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against Heard, stating that the alleged charges destroyed his reputation and career.

Following the posting, Depp was expelled from a few big-budget movies like Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. He was replaced by Mads Mikkelsen as Gellert Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts series.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, Jerry Bruckheimer discussed the future of Pirates of the Caribbean 6.

During his interview, Jerry Bruckheimer states that the creators developed two scenarios, one starring the protagonist Margot Robbie and the other not.

As such, there is no confirmation on whether The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star will be starring in the next episode of POTC. Also, the details of his character are kept secret for now.

Regardless, fans are split over Robbie’s replacement for Depp in undecided Pirates of the Caribbean 6.

Previously, there was speculation that Matthew McConaughey and Joaquin Phoenix would be Depp’s possible replacements in the POTC series. But loyal fans of Depp refused to see other actors playing the iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow.

Some fans are reluctant to accept Margot Robbie as the lead in Pirates of the Caribbean.

Will Johnny Depp return as Jack Sparrow?

Johnny Depp is unlikely to return as Jack Sparrow.

The problem arises if Disney decides to offer Depp for the role in Pirates of the Caribbean 6, but the 58-year-old star may no longer be interested in the hypothetical deal.

During his trial, Depp announced that he would not be working with Disney in the future. She said she felt ‘betrayed’ after Disney terminated her.

The actor also stated that he worked hard to bring the notorious pirate character to life in the previous five movies.

He added that Sparrow deserves to say goodbye to her fans properly, rather than abruptly pulling the rug out from under her.
