New Delhi:- Shahid Kapoor starrer much awaited film finally hits the theaters today. While there was already a lot of buzz about the film, fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the film as it has been postponed several times.

And as the film is releasing today, Shahid’s friends are sending their best wishes for the film. Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh co-star Kiara Advani also congratulated the actor and her reaction to Preeti is remarkable.

The Good Newwz actress took to Instagram Stories on Thursday to pen a sweet message for Shahid’s film ahead of its release. She wrote, “My dear SK you are very special, seeing you as Arjun is nothing less than magic,

Responding to his wishes, Shahid Kapoor wrote, “My dear Preeti, your words will always be in Kabir’s heart! You are my captive,” and added a pink heart emoticon.

As for the unversed, Shahid and Kiara starred in the 2019 hit film Kabir Singh, which sees the two as lovebirds. The film was well-liked by the film lovers with the dialogues and songs of the film. Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor’s friends and industry colleagues praised the film last evening.

Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey stars Mrunal Thakur in the lead role and is his wife in the film. Shahid’s father Pankaj Kapur will also star in the motion picture. This will be the first time that the father and son duo will share the screen space.

Pankaj Kapur will play the role of a cricket coach for Shahid’s character in the film. Jersey is a remake of an award-winning Telugu film of the same name, starring actor Nani in the lead role.

The film was originally scheduled to release on April 14, the same day as the blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2 As of, but it was postponed a few days before the release. The film with Rajneesh Jaiswal fell into hot water. The author claimed that jersey had stolen from his script and landed the entire film in legal trouble. Fortunately, the Bombay High Court ruled in favor of Jersey.
