Save The Cinema tells the true story of Liz Evans, a hairdresser and leader of a youth theater in Carmarthen, Wales, who launched a campaign in 1993 to save the Lyric theater from closure. They enlisted the help of Steven Spielberg to secure a special premiere of Jurassic Park alongside then-Mayor of Carmarthen, Richard Goodridge (the film replaces the role as a local councillor).
