A fire broke out at Game Zone, an entertainment facility located in Rajkot, around 8 pm on Saturday night. The fire started during welding and spread rapidly. It had become difficult to control the fire. Local people tried to extinguish the fire with fire extinguishers, but failed. The fire took a huge form and took the lives of 28 people.
A CCTV footage of the incident site has also surfaced in which the entire incident of fire can be seen. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate the case. So far, 2 accused have been arrested, while 4 other accused are absconding and the search is on.
This unfortunate incident underlines the need for strict adherence to safety standards at entertainment venues. After investigation the whole truth will be revealed and the culprits should be punished.
