The announcement comes a day after the Deja Vu trio arrived in South Korea to complete the European leg of their amazing world tour. According to the agency, the idol was asymptomatic and has stopped all activities for the time being.

ATEEZ’s Hongjoong Fans flooded Twitter

Fans filled Twitter with the hashtag #GetWellSoonHongjoong as soon as the news came out. The hashtag included warm and encouraging words with the captain’s visual presence, along with good wishes and blessings for a speedy recovery. The agency also reported that additional members were PCR tested and their findings were negative. After ATEEZ’s Hongjoong was revealed to be COVID positive, supporters used the trending hashtag to convey their best wishes for a speedy recovery.

ATEEZ’s latest work

ATEEZ has wrapped up the European leg of their long-awaited and rescheduled THE FELLOWSHIP: BEGINNING OF THE END world tour. The group of eight arrived in South Korea on May 16. However, a day later, KQ Entertainment informed its supporters that leader Hongjoong had contracted the COVID virus. According to the agency, ATEEZ traveled from Amsterdam to South Korea after passing a PCR test and testing negative.

Hongjoong is now symptom free

“After member Hongjoong arrived in Korea on the 16th, a PCR test was performed as part of the quarantine protocol and tested positive on the 17th. Hongjoong is currently asymptomatic, but has started quarantine and home treatment, the other seven members all tested negative.” The business also said that all ATEEZ members have received all three doses of the vaccine. They made statements about possible close contact with the leader, but they all wore masks. The PCR test of the remaining seven members was negative.
