Mumbai, February 17, 2024 – Bollywood veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has shared an AI-generated image on social media to celebrate his 55th year in the film industry. The image depicts a camera lens as his eye and a film reel growing from his head.
Amitabh Bachchan’s film debut was in 1969 as a voice actor for Mrinal Sen’s National Award-winning film ‘Bhuvan Shome’. His first acting work was as one of the seven heroes in the 1969 film ‘Saat Hindustani’. Bachchan gained popularity in the 1970s and 1980s with his roles in a series of successful Bollywood films, many of which are now considered classics.
Some of his most notable films include ‘Sholay’, ‘Deewar’, ‘Zanjeer’, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’, ‘Don’ and ‘Shahenshah’. Bachchan has been honored with several awards for his contribution to Indian cinema, including the National Film Award for Best Actor and several Filmfare Awards.
Recalling his long career, Bachchan wrote, “55 years ago today, I was about to start shooting for my first film. Little did I know what would happen next in my life. But I always remember that the most important thing has been the love and support of my fans and audiences.”
He also took the help of his colleague Mehul Choksi in creating this eye-generated image. Choksi said, “We both discussed the capabilities of Eye technology and worked on an idea to depict Amitabh ji’s long career. We decided to show Amitabh ji’s eye as a camera lens and film reels from his head. “Decided to show it rising.”

Bachchan’s fans also highly appreciated this image and congratulated him for his amazing career. A fan wrote, “Only Amitabh Bachchan could have achieved this feat. We feel so proud of you and you will always be an inspiration to us.”
This eye-generated image also highlights the increasing use of IT and Artificial Intelligence in the film industry. Many producers and directors are now taking help from AI technology to make their films and TV shows more attractive.
On this occasion, Bachchan said, “I have always tried to keep pace with the latest uses and developments in technology. I feel proud that I am sharing the first image created by I technology. I Hopefully we will all see more creative experiments in the times to come.”
