Leonardo Spinazzola Cavaliere OMRI (Italian pronunciation: born on the 25th of March, 1993) is an Italian professional footballer who plays the position of a left-sided midfielder or wing-back in the Serie A club Roma. Serie A club Roma and the Italy national team.

Personal life
In May of this year, Spinazzola and then-girlfriend Miriam Sette had a son together. On December 24, 2021, they got married. The couple got married in February of 2021. they had another child the couple had the daughter.

International career
On the 28th of March, 2017 Spinazzola made his first senior international appearance in Italy. Italy national team together with four other players. He came in as a substitute for an away friendly win of 2-1 with the Netherlands.
The month of June was 2021 when Spinazzola was named in Italy’s squad to play UEFA Euro 2020 by manager Roberto Mancini. In the first match that took place on the 11th of June with a 3-0 victory over Turkey, Spinazzola was named man of the match by UEFA for his performance and was acknowledged with an assist on the second goal scored by his team, when his shot parried by the goalkeeper Ciro Immobile after rebounding. On June 26 Spinazzola was credited with helping in scoring the first goal that was scored by Federico Chiesa in extra-time on an eventual win of 2-1 against Austria in the round of 16 and was later part of the goal that won the match that was scored by Matteo Pessina; due to his contribution the team was awarded”man of the match” twice during this tournament, by UEFA. On July 2, late in the quarter-final win 2-1 against Belgium, Spinazzola was stretchered off the pitch due to ruptured Achilles tendon, end of his participation in the tournament. On July 5, Spinazzola underwent a successful operation on his Achilles tendon on the left. On July 11 Spinazzola was the winner of the European Championship with Italy following the 3-2 penalty shoot-out win against England at the end of the tournament match at Wembley Stadium after a 1-1 draw in extra-time. Spinazzola was recognized as the fastest player at the tournament, and was tied the Hungary’s Loic Nego. He reached an average rate that was 33.8 km/h. In recognition of his performance Spinazzola was selected for the team that competed in the event.
The style of the game
Though naturally left-footed, Spinazzola prefers to play on the left flank or as a fullback, the winger, or winger. A versatile player, he’s also able to play from the left side of the field. Fast, athletic, and offensively-minded footballer, the player is renowned for his endurance, world-class performance and agility, physique and his streamlined dribbling abilities which allow him to thwart his opponent in one-on-one situations on the wing using subtle swerves or shifts of pace. He’s also adept at using the ball for the first time and cutting through the centre and passing in-swinging cross-overs towards teammates. He is also capable of adding the team with depth through his aggressive runs along the flanks. In the defensive sphere, he is well-known for his apprehension and skill to fly. His versatility, attributes of his role and style have led to comparisons with the former Italy and Juventus forward Gianluca Zambrotta, whom Spinazzola himself has mentioned among his primary sources of inspiration.
