Wendell Horace Moore Jr. (born September 18 2001) is an American basketball college player with the Duke Blue Devils of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).
Career in high school
Moore was a student at Cox Mill High School in Concord, North Carolina. In the 2015-16 school year, as a freshman Moore started every game played and recorded 17.9 points. He also had 8.6 rebounding, 3.3 assists and 1.8 steals to lead his team win an overall record of 22-8 and the sectional championship. In the 2016-17 season as a sophomore the team played every game and scored 25.0 points. He also had 9.2 rebounding, 3.9 assists as well as 2.3 steals in helping the team achieve an impressive 27-6 record and win the 3A state championship. In 2017-18, as a junior He became one of the fastest players to reach 1000 career points within Cabarrus County public school history and his average was 25.4 points. 7.3 rebounding, 2.9 assists as well as 2.3 steals, which helped his team win an overall record of 29-3 and a second consecutive 3A state championship.
Recruiting
On the 8th of October, 2018, Moore announced that he will be attending Duke University and play for the Blue Devils during the 2019-20 season. Moore chose Duke University over NC State, Wake Forest and North Carolina. Blue Devils over North Carolina, NC State, South Carolina as well as Wake Forest.

Career in college
Moore recorded 17 points during an 81-73 victory against Georgetown at the end of the 2K Classic. 4 He sustained an injury to his hand in the win over Miami (Fla.) in January, 2020, which required surgery. After being absent for six games Moore returned on February 1 for an upset against Syracuse. 6 On February 8, Moore scored 17 points and had 10 rebounds during a game that was a rivalry match with North Carolina. Moore hit a putback shot following an Tre Jones missed to hand North Carolina the Blue Devils a 98-96 win. Seven Moore scored a career high 25 points on February 25 in a 113-101 defeat to Wake Forest. 8 he scored 7.4 scores, 4.2 rebounding along with 1.9 assists per game while freshman. In his sophomore year, Moore averaged 9.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. 10) He was selected as a Second-Team All-ACC player in his junior year and was also named to an All-Defensive team.
Career of the national team
In July, Moore played for the United States in the FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup, in which his team was awarded the Cup.

Personal life
His father played basketball in the NCAA tournament during his time at Christopher Newport University, and his cousin played in the NCAA basketball tournament at Virginia Commonwealth University.
